Due to the arrival and departure timetables, it is likely that you will have a spare half-day in Calafate. This tour is a good choice for your arrival/departure day to/from Calafate. It allows a view of the steppe landscape, different from the woods, lakes and glaciers that you will see in other tours.

Departing from Calafate, you will climb to 1,050 meters above sea level (ASL) and arrive at the first balcony where visitors enjoy a panoramic view of Calafate and the east side of Lago Argentino and, with a clear sky, see the Chalten Hill, the Cerro Torre and contemplate the flying condors.

The tour continues the ascent to the Laberinto de Piedras (Stone Labyrinth), an exclusive product of the MIL Company. This is a (85 million years old) Cretaceous formation where you will find various fossils. Descending from there you will reach the stone of Hats where you will have a snack, returning then to Calafate through the north face of the cordillera without losing sight of the amazing Lago Argentino.
