The tour to Cerro Frias is a ride on a 4x4 vehicle, ideal for the day you arrive or part to/from Calafate.

This tour shows the Patagonian steppe and panoramic views of Torres del Paine, Cerro Fitz Roy, Cordon de los Cristales, Brazo Rico, Brazo Norte and main body of Lago Argentino, Boca del Diablo, and Magellan’s and Avellaneda peninsulas. Along the way, you will see beautiful beech woods and colorful sunsets.

You will also find different flora and fauna species, such as foxes, rheas, guanacos, hares and condors.

The tour includes lunch or dinner.

Course:
The journey begins crossing a meadow to begin climbing the slope of the mountain. After only 30 minutes, you will already find significant views of the Centinela Valley and Torres del Paine.
The tour continues climbing to reach the highest point over the hill, with cows, guanacos, hares and wild horses.

From this field you will have a stunning view of Lago Argentino, Boca del Diablo, and the Cerro Chalten and Torres del Paine, among others. Two hours and a half away, you will reach the top of the hill.
You will then start the descent, across a beech forest, to then reach the Refuge, where the tour stops to eat.
